London is exceptionally sunny this morning, it’s bloody cold too but that’s negated by the fact everything looks so beautiful when the sun rears its head. I thought I may as well take an outdoorsy video whilst it wasn’t raining for once and the above is my cackhanded effort.
I was trying to do a couple of things with this video…
- Play with vimeo - This was easy, slick and no messin’. I don’t usually rate Vimeo, we’ve fallen out in the past, but to upload vid straight from the Flip with no tinkering has turned out to be a doddle.
- See the Flip’s zoom quality - I wasn’t expecting much from the zoom, this video was all shot on maximum zooming innyness.
- See the Flip go to work in natural light - Granted my body was inside (I try not to leave the flat til I’ve at least put a bra on) but the Flip was very much outside, so the lighting was provided all by Mother Nature.
The verdicto?
Well, I recorded this like a jackass…I need to be less shaky (note to self: have a yoghurt) and I didnt really need to zoom so I’d say avoid zooming unneccesarily as you’re obviously gonna diminish the quality a tad. Very pleased with Vimeo and pleased with the microphone, it ignored background noise which included a loud TV in the next room and just picked up my silly Mary Poppins voice. Superb effort for this cheapy camera.
